(Coming soon)
Step 2: Load Your Emails
Step 3: Get to Searching
Step 1: Sign Into QuillQuery
To use the QuillQuery tool you must first create an account and log into the platform. This creates you a custom, user-specific set of technical solutions in the background to maximize privacy.
When creating your account, please take note of the following requirements:
- Username - Valid inputs include any alphanumeric combination no longer than 52 characters; cannot contain spaces, dots, or other special characters other than a hyphen
- Email - Please include valid emails as correspondence will be sent to that address
Step 2: Load Your Emails
While our ultimate goal is to create an in application experience with a plug-in for any web-based or smartphone email app, our initial MVP is hosted via a web browser. For the web browser version, we have two options for loading your emails:
- Drag & Drop
- Logging Into Your Account
Of note, while we continue to test our MVP, we will only upload the first 100 emails.
The Drag & Drop option requires users to export their emails and then drag & drop them to our landing zone. Once there, our tool will process the emails, enabling querying of the loaded emails. This approach is good if you already file your emails into folders and want to search the emails in a folder or subfolder. Of note, for security, we recommend deleting this file once uploaded.
To accomplish this, you will need to export your emails. Please see the links below for steps of how to export emails from these applications:
- Gmail (written instructions | video example)
-Microsoft Outlook (coming soon)
As we continue to expand our offerings, we will allow for signing into your account and authenticating access to the tool, which is a approach is good if you leave all of your emails in your inbox. While we will continue to expand our integration, currently we only offer an opportunity to access your Gmail emails by dragging and dropping your mbox email file.
